1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file that a website stores on your device. This policy also applies to any other storage technology —such as the browser's local storage— because the law does not draw the line at the technique used, but at the fact of storing or reading information on your device.
2. What we use on this site
By itself, this site sets no cookies. Any that appear are set by Google Analytics and Google Ads, and only if you allow them.
Google's measurement tag loads on every visit, like any resource a website requests from another server, and through that connection Google receives your IP address. What depends on your permission are the cookies: without it, the tag neither stores nor reads anything on your device. The detail is in our privacy policy.
Necessary — always on
| Name | What it stores | Duration |
|---|---|---|
k3a_cookie_consent |
Your answer to this notice, so we do not ask you again. Technically it is not a cookie: it is local storage. It never leaves your device. | Until you delete it |
It does not require your consent because it is strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for yourself: remembering what you chose.
Analytics — require your consent
Set by Google Analytics 4, they tell us which pages get visited.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguish visitors | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> | Keep the session state | 2 years |
Advertising — require your consent
Set by Google Ads, they make it possible to know whether a visit came from one of our ads.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_gcl_au | Measure ad effectiveness | 90 days |
_gcl_aw | Link the visit to the ad you clicked | 90 days |
Google may update the names and durations of its cookies. The always-current detail is in its privacy policy.
3. How to give, change or withdraw your permission
The first time you visit, a notice appears with three options: Reject, Customize and Accept. You can switch analytics and advertising on separately.
To change your decision later, click «Cookie preferences» in the footer of any page. If you withdraw your permission, we stop setting those cookies immediately.
You can also delete or block them from your browser settings. If you block them all, this site keeps working normally.
4. Transfers and further information
Google's tag and its cookies involve processing by Google Ireland Limited, which may process data in other countries under the safeguards described in our privacy policy.
5. Changes to this policy
If we add or remove a tool, we will update this table and the date above.
